The Ohio Public Library Information Network uses Trumpia’s API to send more attention-grabbing due date reminders

The Ohio Public Library Information Network (OPLIN) serves 96 public library systems across Ohio and needed a cost‑effective way to send text alerts and reminders to patrons. SMS plugins for their library catalog were prohibitively expensive or unavailable, so OPLIN sought an easy-to-use, scalable messaging solution.

By integrating Trumpia’s API and Email‑to‑SMS technology with existing library systems, OPLIN enabled text notifications without new software or training. The network now supports roughly 49,000 unique phone numbers and sends about 11,000 notifications per week, allowing libraries to reach patrons via both email and SMS at no added cost.
