Sonoma State University (SSU), a public campus in the California State University system offering 45+ bachelor’s majors and minors, needed a more reliable way to reach students. Advisors found emails and flyers ineffective—students reported email overload and outreach was inconsistent—so SSU sought a direct, immediate channel for important academic messages like deadlines.

SSU implemented Trumpia’s integrated platform to send SMS, email, and voice broadcasts, including targeted messaging by major and communications through the Disability Resource Center. The program delivered major updates and deadline alerts, garnered overwhelmingly positive feedback from students, and achieved more than 40% undergraduate opt-in.
