The 87th Force Support Squadron (87FSS) Marketing office at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst coordinates programs and events for service members and their families across a very large base. They struggled to reach the full population with prior communication methods, which led to low attendance and missed opportunities to engage their community.
Using Trumpia’s text-messaging platform, 87FSS set up multiple keywords so people could opt in to alerts for the event types they care about (concerts, BBQs, movie nights, etc.), then sent targeted invitations and reminders. The targeted texts quickly boosted interest and engagement—building stronger customer relationships—and one of the first event campaigns drove a 25% attendance rate directly from text alerts.
