STACK expedites its customer onboarding process with Trulioo’s instant identity verification

STACK is a Toronto-based fintech that launched the STACK app to offer fee-free, millennial-focused banking, including a reloadable prepaid Mastercard, automated savings and real-time rewards. To deliver a fast, inclusive digital onboarding experience while meeting AML, KYC and FINTRAC requirements, STACK needed an instant identity verification solution and lacked the resources to build one in-house, so it selected Trulioo’s GlobalGateway.

Trulioo’s GlobalGateway was integrated via a one-time API connection to provide instant identity checks against hundreds of global data sources and a compliance-ready dashboard for reporting. The solution cut onboarding from 30–45 minutes to about two minutes, and in under a year enabled STACK to complete more than 750,000 transactions across 105 countries (nearly $30M in volume), while improving app engagement (4.3 rating, 2.7 accesses per day).
