IG Expands Into New Markets With Agile Identity Verification

IG, a global leader in online trading and provider of CFDs and spread betting, was facing slow, manual client onboarding that could take days and cost them trading opportunities. Needing to maintain strict AML/KYC standards across multiple jurisdictions, IG partnered with Trulioo and chose the Trulioo GlobalGateway RESTful API to enable real-time identity verification beyond their existing UK and Australian automated checks.

Trulioo’s GlobalGateway integration automated and scaled IG’s IDV and KYC processes, reducing required identity fields by about 25%, improving response times, and increasing the number of applications processed. IG’s logs show faster web service callbacks and throughput, and the company is expanding GlobalGateway to more countries with a goal to cut identity verification time by half.
