Broadway Gaming, an online gambling operator managing seven brands, faced a regulatory change from the UK Gambling Commission (LCCP) that required immediate verification of players’ name, date of birth and address for new and existing accounts (replacing the previous 72-hour window). To meet this challenge without harming user experience, Broadway Gaming turned to Trulioo and its GlobalGateway identity verification marketplace, which the company had used for over three years.

Working with Trulioo, Broadway Gaming implemented a customizable rule and integrated the GlobalGateway API to trigger instant name, address and DOB checks at registration, placing unverified users in a provisional state until cleared. The Trulioo solution automated a previously manual process, delivered high match/acceptance rates at scale, and enabled Broadway Gaming to verify players in real time and achieve full compliance with the LCCP ahead of the May 7 deadline.
