A TrueLook Construction Cameras Case Study
HNTB, an engineering and design firm, needed to document construction of the new Greenville Bridge for a public website and a one-hour television documentary while giving viewers meaningful views across a quarter-mile-wide, 400-foot-tall structure and preserving sightlines to the existing 1940 bridge. To meet that need HNTB deployed a TrueLook Construction Cameras network webcam system (a pan/tilt/zoom dome camera with 18x zoom and wireless connectivity).
TrueLook Construction Cameras installed the remote camera on a grain elevator with wireless backhaul, providing 360° control, simultaneous multi-user viewing, and a scheduled-shot feature for time-lapse JPEGs that integrate directly into HNTB’s Avid editing workflow. The greenvillebridge.com feed drew as many as 700 visitors per day, served over 500,000 images in three years, produced year-over-year growth (14% in year two; 30% in unique users and 20% in images in year three), and drove strong engagement via TrueLook’s LIVECards (200% click rate).
