OakNorth Bank partnered with TrueLayer to improve the savings funding experience for its customers. Before the integration, customers topped up accounts using cards, direct debits, and manual bank transfers, which added friction, increased the risk of errors, and created more operational enquiries for OakNorth.

Working with TrueLayer’s open banking payments technology, OakNorth created a smoother journey that lets customers apply for and fund a savings account in one seamless flow via the app or website. The result was faster time to market, less time needed to fund accounts, and an increase in “day one” funding, with new customers able to open and fund accounts in under ten minutes.
