ZTM Bad Kissingen, a leading telemedicine center in Germany that implements distance medical systems across Europe, faced mounting pressure from refugee flows and stretched healthcare resources needing scalable, secure remote care. After testing more than 20 video conferencing solutions, ZTM selected TrueConf because only TrueConf met the strict data safety and patient confidentiality requirements needed for their Teleview for Refugees program.

TrueConf provided a turnkey solution—TrueConf Server and TrueConf for Windows running on a mobile video conferencing unit (flat screen TV, mini PC) with Logitech Group peripherals and remote doctors using laptops—to connect Rhön Klinikum with a refugee accommodation center.
