Optica Halperin, Israel’s largest optics network with around 150 branches and 700 staff, faced a shortage of licensed optometrists and needed a secure, reliable telemedicine solution capable of 4K video over unstable connections to deliver remote eye exams and protect sensitive patient data. After research and consultation with Imagecom, the company selected TrueConf and its TrueConf Server video conferencing solution (with TrueConf API) to power a telehealth workflow across its branches.

TrueConf integrated its platform into Optica Halperin’s smart queue management system, enabling one‑button 4K video calls from exam rooms, session recording, invitation of additional staff, and storage of session metadata on the company server. The TrueConf deployment has equipped 10 branches so far, improved the quality and performance of remote eye tests, enhanced team communication via desktop and mobile clients, and increased patient convenience and diagnostic reliability — with plans to roll TrueConf out to about 40 branches.
