Vital Farms Accelerates Orders-to-Cash with TrueCommerce and NetSuite

Vital Farms, America’s largest producer of pasture-raised eggs and butter, was struggling with an underperforming standalone EDI system that failed to integrate with its new NetSuite ERP. The disconnect forced Vital Farms’ small Accounts Receivable team to manually process growing volumes of POs and invoices, causing errors, chargebacks and invalid AR data. To solve this, Vital Farms selected TrueCommerce and its cloud-based TrueCommerce EDI for NetSuite ERP to replace the legacy solution.

TrueCommerce implemented a cloud-to-cloud EDI integration that went live in just over a month, automating PO-to-sales-order and invoice workflows and streamlining trading partner onboarding. The TrueCommerce solution cut Days Receivable Outstanding from 36 to 23 days (a 36% reduction), enabled timely invoicing within a day of shipment, handled roughly 350–450 EDI orders per week (85–90% of volume) without adding staff, and reduced chargebacks and manual errors. TrueCommerce also provided scalable support and roadmaps for further automation such as ASNs and PO acknowledgements.
