Lakeshore Data Management faced the challenge of turning ordinary electronic cash registers across up to 3,000 retail outlets into ePOS devices and delivering real-time, secure sales data to manufacturers. To do this, Lakeshore Data Management partnered with TrueCommerce and leveraged LDM’s Data Collector/Data Manager suite together with TrueCommerce’s services, notably TrueCommerce Exchange.

TrueCommerce implemented a joint solution embedding LDM hardware/software in a handheld device and using TrueCommerce Exchange to digitally sign, encrypt and transmit real-time transaction data back to manufacturers. The result is streamlined, secure data flow that supports targeted local marketing and better management decisions, a planned two‑year roll-out to as many as 3,000 outlets, and a highly available Exchange platform (a $6M investment operating uninterrupted since 2004) that measurably improves visibility and operational efficiency.
