UK Power Networks - Customer Case Study

UK Power Networks, a major electricity distributor serving London, the East of England and the South East and supporting roughly 3,500 field engineers and project managers, needed to improve on-time, in-full delivery and replace costly manual procurement processes. To do this as part of its Inventory Visibility Project, UK Power Networks selected TrueCommerce and its managed intelligent B2B SaaS platform (OneTime) to provide a web-based, on-demand solution for purchase order lifecycle management.

TrueCommerce implemented an integrated solution (interfacing with UK Power Networks’ SAP) to automate POs, acknowledgements, ASNs, goods receipts and invoicing for the top 35 suppliers (about 80% of transactions). The deployment delivered lower costs, automated PO management, full order-cycle visibility and supplier KPI dashboards that have improved supplier on-time, in-full performance, reduced the need for safety stock and helped UK Power Networks raise its own customer service levels.
