A TrueCommerce Case Study
Siemens Industry and Viking Electric partnered to address inventory and demand visibility challenges after Viking’s poor experience with a previous VMI provider. Siemens invited Viking to join its Inventory Collaboration Program using Datalliance VMI, delivered by TrueCommerce Datalliance, to rebuild trust and improve collaboration across forecasting, stocking and new-product transitions.
TrueCommerce Datalliance implemented a structured, collaborative rollout with weekly meetings, data scrubs and system adaptations to match Viking’s operating needs. The Datalliance VMI solution drove measurable gains: Siemens product sales rose 15% with no inventory increase, inventory value fell about $80,000 (≈15%), fill rates improved from 95.7% to 98.5%, and GMROI increased from 1.66 to 1.84—while promotional activity nearly doubled sales during the campaign.
