Safety Step, a manufacturer of step stools and related products, needed to eliminate manual order-entry and dramatically cut processing time for orders coming from online, phone and email/PDF channels. To address this challenge they engaged TrueCommerce and its TrueCommerce Nexternal eCommerce and TrueCommerce EDI capabilities to integrate order flows with their AccountMate business system.

TrueCommerce implemented the Nexternal eCommerce platform and EDI, using TrueCommerce Transaction Manager to pass orders and data into AccountMate and to coordinate third‑party warehouses. The integration automated online and B2B order handling, improved fulfillment workflows and customer communications, drove a rise in online sales (over 1,000 eCommerce orders), and reduced B2B order processing time by 60–70% (with online processing times cut by up to 70%), with TrueCommerce support cited as highly responsive.
