Rexnord Helps Key Distributor Partner Increase End-Customer Service Levels with Vendor Managed Inventory

Rexnord faced the challenge of improving distributor partnerships, end-customer service levels, and mutual profitability by reducing stockouts and raising fill rates. To address this, Rexnord implemented a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program using the TrueCommerce Datalliance Platform to streamline demand visibility and replenishments.

Using the TrueCommerce Datalliance Platform to power its VMI program, Rexnord shifted to supplier-generated replenishment based on daily demand signals, enabling tighter collaboration with a key distributor. In the first year overall end-customer fill rates rose 4.9 points to 94.5% (fast movers to 98.6%), stockouts fell by ~82% for fast movers (47% for moderate, 23% for slow), inventory turns improved, and the distributor reduced time spent managing Rexnord products while allowing automated replenishment—delivering better service without adding resources.
