Retail Concepts, the Houston-based parent of Sun & Ski Sports and several other retail brands, faced rapidly increasing warehouse activity and a growing supplier base that made vendor communications and fulfillment management unsustainable. They engaged TrueCommerce for outsourced EDI services—document definition, X12 mapping, and a compliance-testing platform—after concluding their in-house team couldn’t deliver the ROI or manpower needed.

TrueCommerce defined required EDI documents, developed specifications and mappings, set up a compliance-testing platform, and moved transactions onto its trading partner network for testing, tracking, and reporting. The result: receiving time fell from 4–6 hours to about 30 minutes thanks to ASN requirements, vendor chargebacks dropped dramatically, and direct-store-delivery and overall vendor integration became much more efficient.
