Medical Equipment Manufacturer Increases Automation to Comply with Distributors’ EDI Requirements Using TrueCommerce

MedTest, a global clinical diagnostics manufacturer, needed to comply with major distributors’ EDI requirements and eliminate a fully manual order-processing workflow that involved emailing POs and retyping data into Sage 300. To meet those goals it turned to TrueCommerce and its integrated EDI solution for Sage 300 to modernize communications with trading partners like Fisher, McKesson and Cardinal Health.

TrueCommerce implemented automated EDI processing—receiving EDI 850 purchase orders and sending 855 acknowledgements, 810 invoices and 856 ASNs directly into Sage 300—removing manual data entry and speeding order-to-cash. The TrueCommerce solution now handles more than 20 POs per day (over 80 EDI transactions daily), significantly reducing order entry time, supporting faster shipping, improving distributor satisfaction and eliminating rekeying errors.
