RC Willey Home Furnishings, a Berkshire Hathaway–owned furniture and home goods retailer operating 13 stores and 3 distribution centers, faced legacy EDI bottlenecks that slowed PO transmission and reduced visibility across complex SKU assortments as order volumes and online sales grew. To address these challenges they engaged TrueCommerce and deployed the TrueCommerce-ecUtopia supply chain automation solution to replace their legacy EDI system and improve order tracking and inventory visibility.

TrueCommerce implemented an end-to-end EDI solution (processing EDI 850 POs and 855 acknowledgements, with EDI 856 ASN rollout underway) to automate order flow, reduce manual errors and accelerate fulfillment. As a result, TrueCommerce helped RC Willey reduce customer-impacting delays, get product into DCs faster, maintain more consistent order tracking, handle higher volume without adding staff and support a rapidly growing online channel (online business has more than doubled).
