Food Manufacturer Boosts Efficiency and Cuts Operating Costs with Integrated TrueCommerce for SAP Business One

Carrington Farms, a leading organic food manufacturer, had outgrown QuickBooks and—after moving to SAP Business One—faced a major bottleneck: thousands of sales orders, invoices and warehouse documents were being processed manually (major retailers send batches of 50+ orders and the company receives roughly 500–700 EDI orders per week). To streamline operations and reduce overhead, Carrington Farms implemented TrueCommerce EDI integrated with SAP Business One.

TrueCommerce automated the import of EDI 850/860 orders and the creation/sending of EDI 810 invoices and EDI 940/945/210 warehouse documents, cutting processing times “from hours to minutes” (imports that took hours now take under two minutes), improving real-time inventory and AR accuracy, and avoiding the need to hire an estimated two to three additional staff. Carrington Farms is now expanding use of TrueCommerce to auto-generate ASNs and to connect Shopify for automated drop-ship order processing.
