Cigar City Brewing faced the challenge of completing thousands of sales at its 7th annual Hunahpu’s Day—an outdoor event with about 3,500 attendees—without dedicated point-of-sale devices or reliable networks. Working with TrueCommerce, Cigar City deployed the TrueCommerce Engage Mobile Point of Sale (MPOS) to enable fast, mobile transactions and real-time inventory visibility for offsite sales.

TrueCommerce’s MPOS processed roughly 700 transactions in four hours (≈3 transactions/min), allowed employee onboarding in about 15 minutes, and synced with TrueCommerce’s cloud Order Management System for accurate inventory and reporting. The solution helped Cigar City Brewing sell out event merchandise, improve forecasting for future events, and achieve a 20% year‑over‑year increase in sales.
