MooseJaw, a leading active outdoor retailer with a growing online business, was facing rising e-commerce return rates as more customers bought apparel and gear without being able to try items on first. MooseJaw partnered with True Fit to better understand return behavior and reduce size-related returns, especially “size sampling” and sequential size sampling.

True Fit helped MooseJaw use AI to detect when shoppers added multiple sizes of the same item to their cart, then prompted them to create a True Fit profile so fit recommendations could be matched to their personal data. With these changes, True Fit and MooseJaw reduced size sampling rates by 24% over one year, cut the share of size samplers by 34%, and lowered sequential size sampling by 18%, improving the shopping experience and helping drive higher revenue.
