A TRUCE Software Case Study

Preview of the Paper Transport, Inc. Case Study

Leader in transportation industry leverages TRUCE™ to enable in-cab technology upgrades

Paper Transport, Inc., a Green Bay, WI-based transportation company operating 730 power units and 2,400 trailers, wanted to modernize its in-cab technology with tablets, cameras, and telematics to better engage drivers and improve operations. However, the company needed a way to prevent distracted driving while still allowing access to essential apps on the road. TRUCE Software, using the TRUCE Management Console, provided the mobile device control needed to support this transition.

With TRUCE Software, Paper Transport set policies that only allowed navigation, hours of service, and weigh station bypass functions while vehicles were in motion, while also reinforcing hands-free phone use. The result was a successful technology upgrade that improved driver engagement, supported safer driving, and gave the company confidence to move forward with its mobile strategy. While no numeric savings were cited, TRUCE Software enabled Paper Transport to implement its new platform without compromising safety or policy compliance.
