How Mosaic Established Application Portfolio Management in 17 Weeks
The Mosaic Company wanted to move IT away from a tactical “band-aid” approach and toward a more strategic enterprise architecture model that could reduce rework, improve decision-making, and better align business and IT. Mosaic engaged Troux Technologies and used its Compass solution to launch an Application Portfolio Management (APM) program.
Troux helped Mosaic implement the program in just 17 weeks using its Accelerator methodology, creating a real-time view of the application portfolio and its dependencies. The effort scaled from 85 to 367 applications, involved 40 application stewards, and identified about $1.5 million in potential recurring cost savings by the first Architecture Review Board meeting, while also improving visibility, governance, and future planning.
