A Trivantis Case Study
Scotiabank, a leading North American bank with 68,000 employees serving 14.6 million customers in about 50 countries, needed consistent, scalable training for its distributed workforce. After moving from CD-ROMs to an LMS in 2002, the bank adopted Lectora to modernize and standardize its eLearning development.
Lectora was chosen for standards compliance (AICC/SCORM), seamless LMS integration, accessibility features, ease of use and a built-in translation tool. Templates and vendor standards sped up development and lowered costs, enabling novice developers to produce robust courses. As a result, Lectora became Scotiabank’s principal authoring tool: more than 800 courses have been created (99% in Lectora), with a 95% completion rate and multilingual delivery in English, French and Spanish, and plans to continue expanding course development.
