A Trivantis Case Study
Norwich Union (part of Aviva) tasked a small central learning team, led by design consultant Sally, with developing eLearning for some 30,000 UK staff. The team struggled to meet demand using legacy tools like Flash—which required long ramp-up times—and faced tight deadlines and large-scale rollouts (including a new web-based policy system) that made face-to-face training impractical.
The team adopted Trivantis Lectora as its primary authoring tool, enabling interactive courses, faster onboarding (productive in about a month), and cutting production time to two-thirds of previous levels. Lectora let both technical and nontechnical authors contribute, supported a simultaneous rollout to 12,000 learners, became the preferred format for third-party suppliers, and delivered strong ROI—saving the company around £50,000 in one year.
