A Trivantis Case Study
Midwest Energy Association (MEA) is a not‑for‑profit founded in 1905 that provides low‑cost training for natural gas and electric workers. As technology evolved, MEA struggled with costly, hard‑to‑update training distributed via videotapes, workbooks and CDs, and later ran into frequent SCORM integration problems using the basic authoring tool in their LCMS — creating time‑consuming, expensive rework for member LMSs.
MEA adopted Lectora for course creation and publishing, gaining reliable SCORM compliance, easy customization, and flexible delivery (hosted on members’ LMSs, single‑file executables, or MEA’s EnergyU portal). In one year MEA produced over 85 interactive courses (audio, Flash, 3D simulations), reduced development and maintenance time and costs, improved learner engagement, and now plans to convert legacy titles to Lectora and expand their catalog.
