How MPHI Saved Time and Streamlined Reporting With CourseMill

The Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI) is a nonprofit focused on improving community health. Frustrated with a rigid, click-heavy legacy LMS and limited reporting, MPHI reviewed more than 1,000 systems and selected CourseMill to support multiple instances and a new client, MI Health Link, which—because of CMS funding—required a branded login, a custom “New User” registration to capture demographic and regional data, and robust reporting for designated reporters.

MPHI implemented a dedicated CourseMill instance with Advanced Reports and used Lectora to customize the login and registration screens. Advanced Reports let them build 53 custom reports, automate monthly report delivery to 54 external reporters, and cut report preparation from roughly two days to about one hour (three hours total end-to-end). The change improved navigation for learners and admins, streamlined workflows across 57,068 users and 74 courses, and delivered faster vendor support.
