Alzheimer's Society - Customer Case Study

Alzheimer’s Society, a UK charity supporting people with dementia through 260 centres, tasked Training Co‑ordinator Ed Shrager with educating 1,600 staff and 5,000 volunteers across a complex, distributed network. Reaching such a diverse audience using traditional classroom sessions and paper handouts was time‑consuming, costly and environmentally wasteful, so the Society needed a cost‑effective, easy‑to‑use eLearning solution.

They adopted Lectora to build interactive induction and specialist courses (quizzes, audio/video), CD‑ROM delegate packs and online assessments, and moved examinations online for care‑home certification. The change saved trainer time and postage, reduced paper waste, improved assessment quality and reach, received positive trainer feedback, and opened opportunities to sell courses and expand Internet‑based delivery.
