Lethbridge Transit, the public transportation agency for the city of Lethbridge, Alberta, faced the challenge of expanding service coverage and reducing rider wait times amid significant budget constraints. TripSpark implemented its Novus DR software and Rides on Demand app to create a hybrid mobility model. This solution combined a redesigned fixed-route system with flexible on-demand microtransit zones. The results were impressive, achieving a $350,000 annual savings from the route redesign, reducing rider wait times to under 20 minutes, and seeing 80% of on-demand trips booked through the app.
