Austin ISD—an independent school district serving more than 74,000 students—faces the daily challenge of safely transporting about 24,000 riders across a large, weather-prone metro area while keeping families informed. Heat, flooding and the complexity of scheduling routes and drivers made student safety and timely parent communication top priorities for the district’s transportation team.
