Case Study: GTA improves web performance and business intelligence with Triometric Web Analyzer

A Triometric Case Study

GTA (Gullivers Travel Associates) - Customer Case Study

GTA (Gullivers Travel Associates), a global wholesale travel operator, needed better visibility into the huge volume of web and XML traffic flowing through its booking, supplier, and extranet systems. With millions of daily searches and bookings across branded and white-label sites, GTA struggled to distinguish real customer activity from crawlers, understand traffic patterns, and capacity-plan its infrastructure. Triometric’s Web Analyzer provided the monitoring and real-user analysis capability GTA needed.

Triometric implemented its passive packet-capture monitoring and XML Analysis module to track web traffic, search behavior, response times, errors, and raw XML requests in real time. The solution helped GTA improve BI, define stronger SLAs, speed troubleshooting, and optimize performance, including cache strategy, browser support, and third-party supplier management. Measurable results included a drop in average client response times to 250 milliseconds, faster problem resolution, better inventory surfacing, and the ability to detect and fix a traffic loop that had pushed hits from 100 million to 160 million per day.
