Crown UK Shared Service Centre, part of global manufacturer Crown Holdings, faced a highly manual, paper-based balance sheet reconciliation process that lacked standardization and visibility — a problem made urgent by Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and time-consuming remote approval steps (staff sometimes drove 120 miles to obtain signatures). Repetitive reconciliations and limited control across locations further increased cost and risk.
Crown implemented Adra Balancer, a cloud-based, paperless solution that enabled remote review, real-time dashboards and automated handling of zero/unchanged balances. The quick rollout (with no IT involvement) delivered immediate visibility, reduced travel, time and cost, allowed staff to focus on higher-value accounts, and was subsequently expanded across European and regional business units.
