Douglas Dynamics, a North American manufacturer of commercial work truck attachments with over 1,800 employees and $600M+ in revenue, was hampered by highly manual, decentralized balance sheet reconciliations and close tasks. Each subsidiary maintained Excel-based reconciliations with screenshots and separate signoffs, making review evidence sparse, close-status visibility limited, and SOX compliance and audit readiness increasingly difficult.

Douglas Dynamics implemented Adra Balancer and Adra Task Manager with ERP integration to automate reconciliations and close management. Today ~100–120 accounts are auto-reconciling each quarter, about 100 controls are tracked in Adra, and auditors have direct access to centralized records—resulting in significantly less manual work, standardized processes, improved visibility into the close, easier audits, and greater readiness for future acquisitions.
