Commerce Bank Solves Its Reconciliation Challenges with Trintech’s T-Recs

Commerce Bank, a publicly traded Kansas City–based bank with $24 billion in assets, faced inefficient, high-risk manual reconciliation processes: general ledger reconciliations were done in Excel and Word across multiple locations, making approvals, audits and reviews difficult and consuming skilled staff time. The bank needed a centrally supported balance sheet and standardized, auditable documentation.

Commerce Bank implemented Trintech’s T‑Recs and Internet Data Manager (IDM) to automate reconciliations and data retrieval, enforce standardized workflows, and centralize supporting documentation. With about 80% of balance sheet accounts converted, the bank achieved faster, more accurate closes, improved auditability and controls, visible executive dashboards, significant time savings and the ability to redeploy or reduce staff.
