A Trintech Case Study
Boston Scientific Corporation, a global medical device company with operations in 130 countries, was struggling to scale its Record to Report (R2R) processes amid rapid growth and frequent acquisitions. Manual legacy tools, inconsistent workflows, limited visibility and the launch of a Global Business Services model (with a BPO) increased finance effort and reduced team capacity, threatening control and efficiency across the Office of Finance.
BSC implemented Trintech’s Cadency (Reconciliation Certify, Close and Journal Entry) across its Americas, EMEA and APAC finance teams and onboards acquired entities as part of integrations—now covering dozens of entities (Reconciliation Certify: 86 entities/53 countries; Close: 93 entities; JE: 67 entities/35 countries) and 29,000 accounts (4,400 auto-reconciling). The rollout standardized reconciliations and journal entries, enabled automation and RPA, improved control, visibility and collaboration, and delivered measurable time and cost savings while supporting remote operations and ongoing transformation.
