ABB deploys Cadency by Trintech for more efficient financial processes

ABB, a global engineering leader operating in 100+ countries, needed to standardize its record-to-report (R2R) processes—particularly balance sheet reconciliations—which varied across 195 units and hindered efficiency and global visibility. The company sought a unified, risk-based approach to reduce manual effort, improve compliance and gain a single view of performance across business units.

ABB partnered with Trintech and Capgemini to deploy Trintech’s Cadency cloud solution, define roles, run workshops, and roll out design, testing and training alongside new reconciliation policies. The implementation delivered targeted automation and a risk-based reconciliation cadence, cutting manual work and the number of reconciliations, improving timeliness and accuracy, and providing centralized visibility covering over 80% of ABB’s revenues, with plans to scale further.
