TriNetX Helps Cuyahoga County’s MetroHealth System in Ohio Strive for Clinical Research Leadership Through Data Sharing

The MetroHealth System, a large public health and academic medical center in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, wanted to increase its visibility to pharmaceutical companies and CROs so it could generate more interventional clinical trial opportunities. To address this challenge, MetroHealth turned to TriNetX and its research network/data-sharing platform.

With TriNetX, MetroHealth significantly expanded its access to study opportunities, increasing incoming trial requests by 20 to 30 times and moving from only a handful of opportunities per year to about one to two per week. TriNetX also enabled MetroHealth to support its own research, including a COVID-19 study using the TriNetX Research Network, which helped the team analyze a rare patient cohort and publish findings showing hydroxychloroquine was not associated with COVID-19 prevention.
