Hot Bread Kitchen is an East Harlem–based nonprofit social enterprise that runs a commercial bakery and culinary training programs to create economic opportunity for women. Operating as a hybrid nonprofit/commercial operation with 20–99 employees and many staff in varied roles, the organization faced HR complexities including turnover, terminations, and immigration compliance that strained its small team.

TriNet implemented a tailored HR infrastructure—covering payroll, benefits, and best-practice HR processes—and gave employees access to the TriNet Employee Solution Center for fast answers. The partnership streamlined HR administration, reduced operational complexity for Hot Bread Kitchen’s staff, and allowed the organization to stay focused on its mission (TriNet also sponsored the nonprofit’s 10th Anniversary Dinner).
