Wyeth Pharmaceuticals’ Engineering Services Group (ESG) at the Andover campus manages 60–80 projects a year (about $60M) and supports a 300-person organization. In 2001 ESG found its homegrown database no longer delivered the automation, enforcement of best practices, or efficient communication needed for global project controls, cost tracking and consistent reporting.

ESG implemented the Prolog Application Suite from Meridian Project Systems, with MPS customizing cost control, document control and field administration modules and migrating legacy data. The standardized, automated reporting and forecasting improved executive buy-in, credibility and internal/external communication, reduced risk, increased workflow efficiency, and enabled real-time decision-making so ESG can take on more projects.
