West Linn-Wilsonville School District Addressing the Challenges of a $98 Million Bond Program with Limited Staff

West Linn–Wilsonville School District, a K–12 system serving about 8,400 students across 42 square miles, needed to deliver a $98 million bond program without adding operations staff. Its four-person Operations team relied on fragmented databases, spreadsheets and manual reporting that consumed time, obscured real-time status, created budget and retainage risks, and limited stakeholder involvement during planning.

The district implemented e-Builder’s integrated project-management platform to centralize data, standardize and automate cost, schedule and reporting processes, and enable collaborative dashboards and audit trails. The change eliminated roughly 1,000 admin hours per year (≈½ FTE), boosted transparency and board confidence, increased stakeholder engagement in planning, and improved forecasting and oversight as the bond program was completed.
