Trimble 3D Grade Control Improves Competitiveness and Drives Business for French Rental Company

CDE TP is a French earthmoving equipment rental company based in Rigny-Saint-Martin that has evolved from simply hiring machines and operators to performing complex earthworks with a fleet of about thirty machines. Facing customer demand for safer, more accurate and productive grading—and initial wariness from some clients—CDE TP needed a way to differentiate its offerings, reduce rework and materials waste, and improve utilization and competitiveness.

The company partnered with Trimble and local dealer SITECH to equip key machines with Trimble GCS900 3D grade control (GPS/laser/total station, in‑cab design surfaces and wireless connectivity) that is easy for operators to use. The result: machines with Trimble guidance are rented first and run at nearly 100% utilization (versus ~80% for others), deliver faster, safer and more accurate grading, lower material and fuel use, better bids and tighter schedules, and have driven greater competitiveness and business for CDE TP.
