A Trimble Case Study
Termotex is a family-owned Latin American manufacturer that moved from Venezuela to Panama and expanded from EPS production into cold-formed steel prefabrication with the ambition of becoming a regional leader in smart, turnkey systems. As market demand grew for assembling and installing its off-site systems, Termotex faced quality and coordination challenges—errors in MEP fabrication, tight tolerances for off-site manufacturing, and the need for automated, data-driven workflows that they couldn’t achieve alone.
To solve this, Termotex adopted a connected Trimble technology stack (Trimble Tekla, SysQue, Field Link, Connect and HoloLens) to create constructible models, enable real-time collaboration, guide field layout with robotic total stations, and visualize assemblies on site. The result: faster, more accurate delivery with dramatically reduced labor (staffing a 70,000 sq ft project with 12 vs. the typical 40–50 workers), projects finished ahead of schedule, a shift from subcontractor to turnkey general contractor, reduced rework, and accelerated business growth.
