STRABAG Switzerland goes all-digital with Trimble on pilot Swiss road reconstruction project

STRABAG Switzerland, part of the large European construction group, took on a pilot all-digital road reconstruction project in Küsnacht with Trimble to help reduce lifecycle costs on infrastructure maintenance. The challenge was to deliver a fully data-driven Design & Build workflow across surveying, design, utilities, and road renovation, while improving transparency and quality control.

Trimble implemented a 5D Field2BIM2Field workflow using Trimble Connect, Trimble Quadri, Trimble WorksManager, Trimble Siteworks, Trimble Earthworks, Trimble Business Center, and Trimble MX9. The solution connected office and field teams with real-time BIM data, eliminated rework, improved paving and compaction quality, and delivered a 100% accurate digital twin of the road for future operations and maintenance, while giving stakeholders continuous visibility throughout the project.
