Skagerak Nett, part of Skagerak Energi in Norway, manages about 17,000 km of electricity network and 195,000 consumption points across challenging coastal and mountainous terrain with many remote cabins and forested stretches. The company faces complexity in network design and decision support: presenting large volumes of condition, outage and planning data in a trustworthy, actionable way—especially where long overhead lines and difficult access make planning and maintenance costly.

Skagerak Nett integrated Trimble’s network-design and asset-management solutions with other IT systems to get high‑quality electro‑technical calculations, a single view of maintenance and outage history, and digital construction planning. Recent rollouts of OMS/AMR modules bring real sensor data into planning, improving accuracy and cost visibility; modules were quick to procure and test, are moving into production, and are already increasing confidence in results while streamlining whether work is done in‑house or outsourced.
