REO Stone, a Rogers Group limestone quarry outside Nashville, TN, operating a WA600 loader and three 60‑ton pit trucks, was concerned it was underloading trucks and not running at optimal capacity. Site manager Roger Allen sought an onboard weighing solution to improve efficiency and remain competitive amid economic pressures.

They installed LOADRITE’s L-Series L2180 loader scale, enabling operators to load to maximum capacity, compare pit loader weights to belt scales, and eliminate weighbridge congestion and overweight fines. The system showed trucks had been underloaded by up to 20 tons, delivering increased truck capacity, fewer excess loads, better fuel efficiency and reduced wear, and a reported production increase of about 90 additional loads per day.
