Roehl Transport Drives Safety and Efficiency in the Last Mile

Roehl Transport faced a major challenge in last-mile delivery route planning, where navigation systems often missed local restrictions, safe turning options, and accurate customer entry points. Roehl also relied on text-based directions in its TMS, which made it hard for drivers—especially new ones—to access critical guidance while navigating tight, congested final-mile streets. Trimble and its CoPilot routing software were brought in to help solve this issue.

Trimble implemented CoPilot with custom route mapping capabilities to deliver more precise last-mile location data directly through the navigation system. The result was improved last-mile route optimization, greater driver confidence, better communication and consistency, and a safer, more efficient experience for Roehl Transport’s drivers.
