Rist Farm Increases Planting Precision with Trimble® CenterPoint® RTX Correction Service

Rist Farm, a fourth-generation operation managing 5,000 acres in southeast Nebraska, needed more reliable and precise guidance for planting and fieldwork. Tim and Frank Rist grow corn, soybeans, wheat and sunflowers and had been losing GPS signal with older systems—often twice daily—causing costly interruptions, reduced efficiency and extra operator strain.

They deployed Trimble CenterPoint RTX corrections on their AG-372 GNSS receiver and Trimble FmX display, a no-base-station solution that uses GPS and GLONASS to deliver repeatable sub-inch accuracy and fast startup with two-minute holdover. The result: fewer signal interruptions, reduced overlap, more acres planted per day, lower seed and fertilizer use, improved yield consistency, less operator fatigue and a clear return on investment with ongoing gains expected from more precise applications.
