Providence, a large healthcare system with 52 hospitals and 1,085 clinics across seven U.S. states, needed a centralized way to track capital projects, costs, and documents spread across multiple regions and stakeholders — including general contractors and architects — to improve communication and control across its construction program.

Providence implemented e-Builder to digitize invoicing, change orders, contracts, closeouts and other project workflows, integrate with financial analytics and ERP systems, and add time tracking, scheduling and bidding where needed. Today about 200 users manage roughly 1,200 active projects in the system, benefiting from a standardized approval chain, cleaner data, faster vendor payments, and regular, accurate reports for capital leaders; expansions such as DocuSign and additional process automation are planned.
