Service Transport Co. (STC), a Houston-based carrier serving 500+ customers with 300 tractors and 425 trailers, needed to improve fleet safety and DOT compliance while getting more value from its existing PeopleNet system. When Safety Director Kevin “Skip” Parker arrived, PeopleNet driver terminals were used mainly for messaging and drivers resisted electronic logs, so STC faced the challenge of changing habits and proving the technology’s operational value.

STC implemented a phased training program and rolled out PeopleNet eDriver Logs along with Vehicle Management, Reporting and In‑Cab Navigation, integrated with back-office systems.
